पिछले रविवार मौसम साफ़ था । अरुण अपनी छोटी बहन नेहा के साथ चिड़ियाघर घूमने गया । जैसे ही चिड़िया घर के मेनगेट पर पहुँचे उन्हें भारी भीड़ दिखायी दी । कुछ लोग प्रवेश टिकट ख़रीद रहे थे । जबकि कुछ पेड़ की छाया में आराम कर रहे थे । जैसे ही उन्होंने चिड़ियाघर में प्रवेश किया ।
नेहा - मुझे चिड़ियाघर के अंदर जाने में डर लगता है । क्या आपको नही लगता की चिड़ियाघर के जानवरों द्वारा हम पर हमला हो सकता है ?
अरुण - चिंता मत करो ! चिड़ियाघर में कुछ जानवरों को पिंजरे में रखा जाता है । और कुछ को चारों ओर से घिरे बैरियर में रखा जाता है ।देखो यहाँ बहुत सारे जानवर हैं ।
नेहा - अरे हाँ ! मुझे सबसे पहले जिराफ़ देखना है । जिराफ़ कहाँ है ?
अरुण - देखो ! जिराफ़ बाड़ के पास है । उसकी गर्दन लम्बी है ।
नेहा - भैया ! बदरों को देखो ।
अरुण - हाँ बंदर पेड़ के ऊपर-नीचे झूल रहे हैं ।
नेहा - ओह माय गॉड ! बाघ को देखो ।
अरुण - वह चट्टान पर है ।
नेहा - भैया देखो ! चीता चट्टान से नीचे आ रहा है । उसके शरीर पर धारियाँ हैं । शेर कहाँ है ?
अरुण - शेर अपने मांद के सामने है । वह बहुत ताकतवर है । वह सो रहा है ।
नेहा - वाह ! मोर को देखो ।
अरुण - यह बगीचे में नाच रहा है ।
नेहा - वहाँ उन पीले पक्षियों को देखो !
अरुण - हाँ वो पेड़ के ऊपर उड़ रहे हैं ।क्या तुम पेड़ के पीछे हिरन के बच्चे को देख सकती हो ?
नेहा - जी हाँ ! और देखो यह ज़ेब्रा का परिवार है ।
अरुण - हाँ प्रिय ! बेबी ज़ेब्रा माँ ज़ेब्रा और पिता ज़ेब्रा के बीच खेल रहा है ।उन सभी के शरीर पर काली व सफ़ेद धारियाँ होती हैं । उन्होंने दूसरे जानवर भी देखे । बहुत अधिक आनंद आया । जब शाम हो गयी वे चिड़ियाघर से बाहर आ गए । और बस में सवार हो गए ।
